Bleachers Asbury Park reviews
Her voice was stellar! that said.. Chicago 2/13
Great seats! We were 21 rows back in the center at the Chicago Theatre. She made a grand yet humble entrance. What will stay with me is "Always Be my Baby" "Angels Cry" "We Belong Together" & "Hero" encore. Also the high notes in "Emotions" were flawless. She really has the voice of a hummingbird meets angel.
I read reviews about the 2/14 show. These tickets were expensive, and fans should be thrown a bone with classic "sing along" hits. It seems people are pissed and I don't blame them. If "Hero" wasn't part of the show, I might have different feelings about the whole production. I know she cares about her fans probably more than any of her A-list peers, and hopefully the criticism will help her evolve her show to be 5 star worthy with a setlist with just a few more classics. Or just one more. Even a mash-up of the classics. "Bleachers's Theme" never really a big hit but all of her fans know it, and really would feel @ one with her (singing it with her). Her back-up team, very talented! However, for $175 plus a ticket..I want to see her and watch her sing the most. Where she shared the stage with others performers, One who plugged his new album. Weird. p.s. All concessions were closed down 3 songs in. Nothing. No water, anything. The bartenders/workers blamed Mariah herself for being going on so late, hence the closings. A beer would've been nice after working all day.
